I am a great fan of the serials. Some, unfortunately, are really dark (looking, not as in noir) but for free you can't beat them. If you like them you can always access them in good cheap copies on line (I like the Alpha Videos available on Oldies.com, and also found at Half Price Book Stores around the country. If these whet your appitite there are other, harder to find videos at the Serial Squadron and other sites. They can be really addictive if you limit yourself to no more than one episode a day and watch them with others. Kids really get into them. When I was a kid in L.A. we had a channel that showed serial episodes on saturday instead of cartoons. That was when I got hooked.
